Karusan

"Karusan" is a type of pants that is somewhere between slim pants called "tatsuke" and wide pants called "hakama". It is thought that it was made by elderly people who found it difficult to move around in tatsuke pants, and by people with distinctive body shapes, and used as everyday clothing after much ingenuity.

These pants offer both ease of movement and the roominess of hakama.
