Rescue wool fabric

These clothes are made from "rescued" fabrics that, despite their high quality, were destined for disposal because they didn't fit into mass production. This thick, warm wool is perfect for cold winters. Woven with delicate, fine threads, it is soft and non-itchy, ensuring a comfortable experience.

■Production Story

Toshiharu, an 80-year-old who was born and raised in Itoshiro, carefully preserves old clothes. He says he watched his grandmother weave fabric from a young age.

We recreated the shape of a pair of trousers from his collection. It's a new shape, different from the "tatsuke" and "hakama" we've made before. Apparently, it was something he created through trial and error to fit his body type, neither too slim nor too wide, and this particular shape does not seem to have been common in Itoshiro generally.

We saw evidence that he ingeniously made something practical from the fabric he had on hand. We named these trousers "Karusan," a term referring to wide pants that is also passed down in Itoshiro.
