Warm and non-itchy

Made from thick wool, these pants are perfect for cold winters. The fabric is of the highest quality, woven with fine yarn, so it feels soft and gentle on the skin without being itchy. The fabric is as soft and gentle as cashmere, making it suitable even for those who are sensitive to wool.

Natural colored sheep

This brown is the natural color of sheep's wool. The fabric was developed using wool from the rare "Black Merino" sheep, which are few in number worldwide. The natural color gives it a gentle feel that is easy to match with anything.

■Production Story

Toshiharu, an 80-year-old resident who was born and raised in Itoshiro, meticulously preserves old clothing. He recalls watching his grandmother weave fabric since his childhood.

We have recreated the shape of a pair of trousers from his collection. This is a new shape, different from the "Tatsuke" and "Hakama" we have been making. It seems that he had experimented with making something that fit his body type, neither too slim nor too wide, and this shape does not appear to have been common in Itoshiro.

There were signs that he had ingeniously created practical items from the fabric he had on hand. We named these trousers "Karusan," a term referring to wide-legged pants also known in Itoshiro.
