Thick and soft fabric

The fabric is linen cotton denim. It is a sturdy fabric but feels good against the skin, and the more you wear it, the softer it becomes. It dries quickly, so you can stay cool and comfortable from spring to autumn. It dries quickly, so it's easy to wash.

Refreshing white

Linen cotton has a beautiful color that brings out the transparency of your skin. It goes great with plant-dyed tops. The white of linen cotton makes the colors of the plants look even more beautiful. Try coordinating it with a plant-dyed top.

■ Production Story

Toshiharu, an 80-year-old man born and raised in Itoshiro, carefully preserves his old clothes. He says he watched his grandmother weaving from his childhood.

I recreated the shape of the pants that were in that collection. It's a new shape that's different from the "tatsuke" and "hakama" that we've made. It seems that it was made through trial and error to find something that was neither too slim nor too wide, and suited his own body type, and this shape does not seem to be something that was commonly found in Itoshiro.

There were traces of the designers making the pants out of the fabric they had on hand. We named them "Karusan," a word that refers to wide pants and is also used in Itoshiro.
