We have created a booklet explaining how to make the "Tatsuke" trousers that we produce in our shop.
Please note that this site sells digital data for download, not a physical booklet. If you wish to purchase a physical booklet, please visit this site.
We have compiled an easy-to-understand guide on how to make "Tatsuke," comfortable work trousers for farming that are made using only straight cuts.
We created this with the hope that many people would try making "Tatsuke," which is a traditional garment from the Itoshiro village deep in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture.
The contents include:
・About Itoshiro
・Introduction of the Tatsuke instructor
・How to measure
・How to cut
・How to sew
・How to determine measurements for children's Tatsuke
In addition, we have made a video with detailed instructions based on this booklet. You can watch it for free on YouTube. URL: https://youtu.be/svA5IWPskGA
This guide is based on the "Noragi Tatsuke" currently sold at Itoshiro Youhinten, making it even easier to understand than the "How to make Tatsuke" (1,080 yen) that we sold from around 2013.
Please do check it out.

■ About hashtags when making clothes based on the instructions
We received a request from a customer saying, "I'd like you to create a hashtag so others can see what people have made."When uploading photos of your creations to social media, please include the following hashtag with your photos:
#itoshirotatsuke
For clothes other than Tatsuke, please also include:
#itoshirokkarusan
#itoshirohakkama
#itoshiroechizenshirt
#itoshirosleeveless
By doing so, when you search by hashtag, you can see what others have made.
■ Production Story
Many people are surprised that we openly share the detailed instructions for making the clothes that Itoshiro Youhinten primarily produces and sells. We decided to release the instructions because we want more people to know about the wonderful qualities of "Tatsuke."
Originally, we ourselves were generously taught by the grandmothers in the community. We want to pass this on to many people and share the surprise and joy of making something, as well as the pleasure of wearing clothes you've made yourself.
We also irregularly hold workshops based on this booklet, and we hope to share the joy of creating with our own hands.
