The secret lies in its ultra-fine yarn. We had a cashmere spinning mill delicately process premium black merino wool into this fine yarn.

Because the yarn is fine, the knit fabric is soft without being thick, despite its warmth. This results in a sleek silhouette, making it less likely to feel bulky or create stiffness when worn under a coat.

Rich shades of gray x brown

The heathered knit, created by twisting two colors of yarn—gray and brown—offers a rich texture with depth.

Size 1 and size 2 also have slightly different details.

About Care

Many people might think that wool is difficult to maintain. Of course, we want you to handle it with care, but daily maintenance is easy. On the day you wear it, gently brush off any dust with a dedicated brush. Then, lay it flat on a drying rack for about a day to allow any moisture, such as sweat, to evaporate. After that, fold it and store it in your closet. If you notice localized stains, apply a neutral detergent only to that area and wash it by hand to remove the dirt.

Due to its softness, pilling will inevitably occur. When you notice pills, do not pull them; always cut them from the base with scissors. (Pulling them will lead to more pilling.)

Use dry cleaning at least once per season. After cleaning, be sure to store it with mothballs.

Production Story

We have been using raw black merino wool from Victoria, Australia, for about three years. However, that raw wool is no longer available. The elderly person who collected only this rare colored raw wool from a small number of sheep has retired. However, we really wanted to continue using this "undyed wool," so we kept searching and eventually found raw black merino wool from sheep raised in Tasmania, another state in Australia!

It's surprising that even though they are the same "black merino" breed, the color and softness of the yarn differ, perhaps due to where they were raised and the quality of the grass they ate. However, all raw materials for clothing are living things (including plants). So it's natural for them to be different from year to year, and when you think about it, it's also natural for the wool quality to differ between individual sheep.

The look may change each year, but we hope you can enjoy the changes, thinking, "This is this year's color and texture!"
