The secret? Ultra-fine yarn. We had high-quality black merino raw wool spun into delicate yarn at a mill that specializes in cashmere.

Thanks to the fine yarn, it’s warm without adding thickness, making a soft knit fabric. This gives it a sleek silhouette—even when you layer a coat over it, it won’t feel stiff or look bulky.

We’ve made small detail adjustments between size 1 and size 2

Size 1 has a compact design with a shorter length, ideal for women.

About care instructions

Many people think wool is hard to care for. While we do recommend handling it gently, daily maintenance is simple: After wearing it, use a specialized brush to remove light dust. Then lay it flat on a drying hanger for about a day to release moisture like sweat, and fold it neatly for storage in your closet. For small stains, apply mild detergent only to the affected area and press-wash to remove the mark.

Because it’s soft, pilling is inevitable. If you notice pills, never pull them—always cut them off at the root with scissors, as pulling will cause more pills to form.

Use dry cleaning at least once per season. After cleaning, don’t forget to add a moth repellent before storing.

Production Story

We’ve used raw black merino wool from Victoria, Australia for about 3 years now. That wool is no longer available— the person collecting these rare, valuable colored wools from small flocks retired due to age. But we really wanted to keep using this un-dyed wool, so we kept searching and found black merino raw wool from sheep raised in Tasmania, another Australian state!

They’re both black merino, but surprisingly, the color and softness of the yarn differ, likely due to their growing location and the quality of grass they eat. After all, all clothing materials come from living things (including plants), so it’s only natural that they change year to year, and that wool quality varies from sheep to sheep.

It might have a slightly different feel each year, but we hope you’ll enjoy these changes, and think “This is this year’s shade and texture!”
