Digital Version: How to Sew an Echizen Blouse [Zero Waste Pattern]

This time, I’m releasing instructions for making a "Zero Waste Pattern" for the first time.

Until now, we have presented redesigned versions of traditional Ishitetsushiro garments such as "tatsuke" and "hakama" as "how-to guides."

We will continue doing that going forward, and we have also decided to release "How to Make the Echizen Blouse" to share the garment-making methods we have newly designed based on "straight-line cutting."

Echizen blouses are based on the same construction philosophy as Echizen shirts. They are square-neck shirts made by joining together separate panels. Designed to be worn by women.

■Production Story
We know many people are surprised that Ishitohiro Clothing Store openly shares detailed instructions on how to make the garments we primarily design and sell. We decided to publish these methods because we want more people to discover the beauty of the traditional clothing passed down in Itoshiro.

Originally, we were also generously taught by elderly women in the local community. We want to share this with many people, and also share the surprise and joy of making it, as well as the pleasure of wearing clothes you made yourself.
