2024.10/26-28 Tatsuke/Hakama Making Workshop ~2 nights and 3 days clothing making course~
A 3-day, 2-night trip to Itoshiro in late autumn, learning about clothing while experiencing the great outdoors, choosing and making local traditional clothing, "tatsuke" and "hakama."
Not only will you make clothes, but you will also hear about the culture of Itoshiro, enjoy forest bathing and freshly picked seasonal vegetables, and spend a luxurious time in the summer countryside away from your usual work and routine. This is a 2-night, 3-day program where you can enjoy making clothes while fully enjoying the charm of the Itoshiro region.

Day 1
13:30 Arrive at Itoshiro (greetings, self-introductions)
14:00 Explanation, measurements
15:00Cutting the fabric/serger sewing
18:00 Check-in at the inn & dinner (Fujiya Ryokan)
Day 2
9:00 Visit to the shrine and the museum
10:00 Stitching Time (at a clothing store)
12:00 Lunch (hors d'oeuvres )
Visit to the shop (and indigo dyeing workshop)

■ What to bring
Sewing supplies (dressmaking scissors, thread cutters, tape measure, chalk pen, sewing thread that matches the fabric, basting pins (10 pieces), and a pincushion if you bring your own fabric), fabric (if you don't have any we can provide you with fabric for 4,000 yen. Thread is also included), overnight set (towel, toothbrush, pajamas, etc.).
*Please prepare medium-weight linen, cotton, cotton-linen, etc.
*We will provide a sewing machine and ruler (50-60cm).
*The fabric we will be sharing is listed on the following website. Please refer to it for your consideration. (If you purchase this fabric, we will also provide sewing thread.)

■Participation Fee
35,000 yen (Accommodation fee: from 7,000 yen per night, please pay in cash on site)
*Depending on your experience, you may not be able to complete the project within the allotted time. In that case, we will continue to teach you how to make the project.
*If you would like to bring your own sewing machine, please contact us.
*You may be assigned to a shared room at the inn.
