"Tatsuke" are slim trousers traditionally used in the Itoshiro region.

They were used for work, so they have ample room around the hips, making it easy to squat, and they taper towards the ankles, allowing for easy leg movement.

Medium-Weight, Soft Fabric

The fabric used is organic cotton twill. While sturdy, it feels comfortable against the skin and becomes softer with each wear.

You can feel comfortable all year round. The waist features a wide elastic band and an internal drawstring for size adjustment. Belt loops are also included, so you can use a belt if you prefer.

Standing, Squatting. Easy to Move and Functional

They are loved by gardeners, farmers, carpenters, photographers, and more. The durable fabric and ease of movement make them suitable for all kinds of work.

The secret to their ease of movement is the generous fabric around the waist and hips. We particularly recommend them to anyone who finds regular trousers restrictive.

While this dye uses chemical dyes, the threads are dyed using an environmentally friendly method called "eco-dyeing." This dyeing process minimizes water pollution.

■Production Story

"Tatsuke" are slim and easy to move in, making them perfect for daily wear and work. We are constantly thinking about what kind of fabric is suitable for these pants.One idea that came to mind was "denim." Jeans, which have spread worldwide as work pants, are inseparable from denim fabric.

And although chemical dyes are now mainstream, original denim, after all, means "indigo dye." So we searched for indigo-dyed denim and found this fabric made in Okayama. True to indigo dye, the color blends in more and more with wear, becoming unique to the wearer.

This has resulted in ideal denim "Tatsuke" that can be used hard as "clothes to grow with."
