"Tatsuke" are slim pants that have been worn in the Itoshiro area.

Because they were worn while working, they are roomy around the hips making it easy to squat, and they taper off towards the hem, allowing for easy movement of the legs.

Medium weight soft fabric

The fabric is made of organic cotton twill. It is a sturdy fabric that feels good against the skin, and the more you wear it, the softer it becomes.

You can wear it comfortably all year round. The waist is made of wide elastic and has a drawstring inside for size adjustment. It also has belt loops, so you can use a belt if you like.

Standing and squatting. Easy to move and functional.

It is popular among gardeners, farmers, carpenters, photographers, etc. The durable fabric allows for ease of movement, so it can be used for any type of work.

The secret to their ease of movement is the generous amount of fabric from the waist to the hips. We recommend these pants to anyone who finds regular pants too restrictive.

Eco-dyed, elegant and easy-to-match colors

The dyeing used here is chemical, but the yarn is dyed using an environmentally friendly method called "eco-dyeing," which pollutes as little water as possible.

■ Production Story

"TATSUKE" is slim and easy to move in, making it perfect for everyday use as well as work. I was always thinking about what kind of fabric would be best for these pants. One thing that came to mind was "denim." Jeans, which are popular all over the world as work pants, are made with denim fabric.

Nowadays, chemical dyes are the norm, but when it comes to original denim, it's still "indigo dyeing," so after searching around for indigo-dyed denim, I came across this fabric made in Okayama. As with indigo dyeing, the more you wear it, the more the color will blend in and become unique to you.

It is an ideal denim fabric that can be used hard and grown-in, as "clothing that grows with you."
