Wide pants for all seasons

"Hakama" is a traditional garment from this region. We've arranged it into straight-leg pants.

The square gusset in the crotch provides excellent ease of movement. The elastic waistband offers a relaxed fit while maintaining a neat appearance.

Two sizes available

Available in two sizes with different widths and lengths. This shows size 2 worn by someone 165cm tall.

This shows size 1 worn by someone 165cm tall. The silhouette varies depending on the size worn, even with the same design.

Medium-weight, soft fabric

Made from organic cotton twill fabric. While sturdy, it feels gentle against the skin and becomes softer with each wear.

You can wear them comfortably all year round. The waistband features wide elastic and an internal drawstring for size adjustment.

There are also belt loops, so you can wear a belt if you like.

Long-awaited black

Black, which has been highly requested, is now available. We've achieved this using eco-dyed fabric. This versatile black can be paired with anything. It's suitable for a wide range of occasions, including work and outings.

The waistband has a buffalo button and tab on the side, allowing for a few centimeters of size adjustment.

【Background of the black series production】

Why did we want to make black bottoms? It all started with this old pair of tatsuke.

This is a pair of "tatsuke" made over 100 years ago and used by a grandfather. While almost all old clothes are indigo-dyed, these were dyed black.

When asked locals, "What was this dyed with?", they would say, "It doesn't look like indigo, what could it be...?" and they never knew.

But this deep, dark black color always intrigued me, and I've always wanted to develop a black series.

We tried various things with plant dyes, but black was difficult to achieve in this region. Walnut leaves, gallnuts, multiple indigo dyes... At one point, we even developed black from almond leaves in Cambodia, but it was impossible to keep the price within a reasonable range for release.

After years of searching for a satisfactory black fabric, we finally found a fabric manufacturer in Hiroshima and encountered an eco-friendly black dye.

I am very happy that we were able to fulfill the many requests for black bottoms, in addition to the inspiration from old clothing.
