This shirt is an adaptation of the Echizen shirt, a traditional button-front shirt from this region. Although it is a shirt, it is based on Japanese clothing and is cut in straight lines. It is made so that no fabric is wasted. Like a kimono, it is loose and comfortable, fitting the unique features of each wearer's body.

Unlike ordinary shirts, the shoulder line is in a straight line like a kimono, so this design is recommended for those who are concerned about the line of their shoulders, such as those with sloping or angled shoulders.

Light and refreshing linen material

This is a 100% linen fabric. It is firm yet soft, making it a versatile linen fabric that can be used for going out or as relaxing wear.

The material is light and comfortable to wear even in sweaty seasons. The more you use it, the softer and lighter it becomes, making it more comfortable to wear. It can be used in three seasons except for the middle of winter.

I picked up some chestnuts and dyed them with their burrs.

Our plant dye colors are made from the plants around us. There are many chestnut trees in Itoshiro, so we go out to gather chestnuts in the fall. We eat the chestnuts we gather and dye them with the burrs outside. By applying iron, they become a soft gray, which makes them easy to match with other items. This color is popular in our store, so we hope you will give it a try.
