"Tatsuke" are trousers that have been worn in the Itoshiro area. They were worn while working, so they are loose around the hips for ease of movement, and slim towards the hem for easy movement of the legs.

A fabric that combines softness and firmness

The fabric is made of organic cotton twill. It feels good against the skin and gets softer the more you wear it. It's just the right thickness, yet fluffy and soft, so you can wear it in any season.

Bright grass colors

The calm pale yellow is a color that can only be achieved through natural plant dyeing. It is dyed by boiling various plants in Itoshiro. By simply adding bright colors to your outfit, you can instantly create a bright and lively atmosphere, so this is an item that is recommended not only for spring and summer, but also for winter, when the overall tone of your outfit tends to be darker.

■ Production Story

There are many Anemone anemones blooming in Itoshiro. They can be picked for a long period of time, from early spring to summer. And the more you pick, the happier the locals are...

Since a large amount is needed for dyeing, we are always looking for dyes that are easily available in large quantities, and after repeated experimentation, if we find a good color, it becomes our standard dye.

I started using hemlock and burdock as standard colors a few years ago, and now I find them very useful. The colors change with the seasons, but that's also a joy of dyeing. I'm excited to see what colors the hemlock and burdock will turn out to be this year.
