This tunic is an adaptation of the Echizen shirt, a traditional button-front shirt from this region. Although it is a tunic, it is based on Japanese clothing and is cut in straight lines. It is made so that no fabric is wasted. Like a kimono, it is loose and does not constrict, fitting the wearer's individual body characteristics.
