Rescue wool fabric

These clothes are made by "rescuing" high-quality fabrics that would otherwise be discarded because they are not suitable for mass production. This wool is thick and warm, making it perfect for cold winters. It is made of fine, delicate yarn, so it is soft and not itchy, making it comfortable to wear.

■ Production Story

Toshiharu, an 80-year-old man born and raised in Itoshiro, carefully preserves his old clothes. He says he watched his grandmother weaving from his childhood.

I recreated the shape of the pants that were in that collection. It's a new shape that's different from the "tatsuke" and "hakama" that we've made. It seems that it was made through trial and error to find something that was neither too slim nor too wide, and suited his own body type, and this shape does not seem to be something that was commonly found in Itoshiro.

There were traces of the designers making the pants out of the fabric they had on hand. We named them "Karusan," a word that refers to wide pants and is also used in Itoshiro.
