[Echizen Shirt] Organic Cotton/Marigold Khaki

Straight cut button front shirt

An adaptation of the Echizen shirt, a button-front shirt traditional to this region. I made it.



The design is unisex and stylish. Although it is a shirt, it features straight cuts based on Japanese traditional clothing.



There is no fixed shoulder line like with a kimono, so the shoulders are free and do not feel constricted.

100% organic cotton woven in Japan

The more you use it, the softer and more comfortable it becomes.



It can be used in three seasons except for the dead of winter.

Marigolds grown in the field

Our plant dye colors come from the plants around us.



This time, we are using marigolds grown in our fields. Marigolds are also called pyrethrum, and we cultivate them to repel insects while we are growing indigo. They start to bloom in the latter half of summer, and when we pick the flowers, beautiful new ones bloom again. We continue to harvest the flowers for dyeing while enjoying them until late autumn.

Calm colors

This is a new color that we are offering this time.



I made a diluted flower liquid and layered it with iron mordant to give it a bitter taste.



It is a calm tone of khaki, which is very easy to match with other colors.



Please enjoy the natural colors that give a soft impression.
