Straight cut button front shirt

This shirt is an adaptation of the "Echizen shirt" that is a local tradition.

Although it is a shirt, it is based on Japanese clothing and is cut in straight lines, so no fabric is wasted.

Its characteristic is that it does not constrict the wearer, and is shaped to fit the wearer's individual body characteristics like a kimono. You can use it without stress for work or for relaxing on your days off.

The shoulder line is dropped like a kimono, so it can be worn by people of all shoulder widths without worrying. The shoulders are free and not tight.

Light and refreshing linen material

The fabric is 100% domestically woven linen.

This linen fabric is firm yet soft, making it a versatile material that can be used for going out or as relaxing wear.

A summer staple: indigo-dyed clothing

Indigo is a traditional Japanese color. We make clouds from the indigo leaves we grow in our fields, store them in indigo vats, and dye the fabric in the summer.

Indigo dyeing is time-consuming, but it is the culmination of the wisdom of the Japanese people that has been passed down for generations. It produces very attractive colors. This sky blue in particular is achieved by repeatedly dyeing the fabric in a short period of time when the indigo color has faded.

It is a difficult and precious color that cannot be achieved without advanced skills. Please enjoy the unique indigo dye colors that we create here in Itoshiro.
