We have created a booklet explaining how to make the "Echizen shirts" that we produce in our shop.
Please note that this site sells digital downloads, not paper books. If you would like to purchase a paper booklet, please see this site.
Like the previous "tatsuke" and "hakama" shirts, this is a "miracle" shirt made using only straight cutting, but it has been slightly adapted to be more modern, with the neckline and collar being made with a slight curve.
Of all the folk clothing series to date, this is the most difficult and requires the most patience, but I would like as many people as possible to make an "Echizen shirt," a traditional item passed down in the village of Itoshiro, deep in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture.

■Production StoryMany people are surprised to learn that we are revealing in detail how the clothes we make are made, which is the main production and sale of the Itoshiro Clothing Store. We decided to reveal how we make the clothes because we want more people to know about the beauty of the traditional clothing handed down in Itoshiro.
We were also generously taught by local grandmothers. We would like to share this knowledge with many people, and share the surprise and joy of making clothes, and the pleasure of wearing clothes that you made yourself.
