[Echizen Shirt] Organic Cotton/Marigold Beige

Straight cut button front shirt

An adaptation of the Echizen shirt, a button-front shirt traditional to this region. I made it.

The unisex design gives a stylish impression. The fabric is cut in straight lines for a minimal amount of wasted space.

The shoulder line is dropped like a kimono, so the shoulders are free and not restrictive.

You can wear it without stress for a proper look at work or for relaxing on your days off. Since it is a button-up shirt, it can also be worn as a jacket to protect you from the air conditioning.

100% organic cotton woven in Japan

The fabric is 100% organic cotton.

The more you use it, the softer it becomes and the more comfortable it becomes to wear. It can be used in three seasons except for the middle of winter.

Marigolds grown in the field

Our plant dye colors come from the plants around us.

This time, we are using marigolds grown in our fields. Marigolds are also called pyrethrum, and we cultivate them to repel insects while we are growing indigo. They start to bloom in the latter half of summer, and when we pick the flowers, beautiful new ones bloom again. We continue to enjoy the flowers until late autumn, while continuing to harvest them for dyeing.

Calm colors

The color of the fabric changes depending on the year it is dyed, but this year it was dyed a soft beige color. Please enjoy the natural color that gives a soft impression.
