TATSUKE Salon: Let's Talk About "Tatsuki" (April 10th @ Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo)
Please feel free to contact us via the Itoshiro Yosehinten Official LINE account.
Let's meet and connect over Tatsuke
TATSUKE Salon is a gathering where people who wear, make, or teach tatsuke,
as well as those who are interested in making them in the future
or are simply drawn to tatsuke,
can come together to chat about tatsuke over a cup of tea.
We are delighted that so many people are enjoying "tatsuke" and "how to make tatsuke."

The straight-cut garments remaining in Itoshiro, including "tatsuke," are filled with the wisdom and techniques of our Japanese ancestors who lived modestly amidst limited natural growth. They are truly wonderful things to be passed down and preserved.

There's a reason why many people become deeply engrossed in the charm of "tatsuke" once they've made one. It's because of their ingenious construction and how incredibly easy they are to move in – in other words, they can be considered the crystallization of Japanese wisdom.
And indeed, I, Kaori Hirano, representative of Itoshiro Yōhinten and the one writing this announcement, am completely engrossed in them! This gathering is for anyone who has even a slight interest in "tatsuke," those wondering "What is tatsuke?", those who want to try making one, those who've made one but want to experiment with it, those who feel comfortable wearing them, and so on. The purpose of this event is to talk about "tatsuke" and "straight-cut clothing," no matter what your level of interest.

You can bring your tatsuke if you have one, or come empty-handed.
Everyone is welcome. Let's all meet and connect through "tatsuke."
