Made from lightweight domestic linen
A cardigan
that lets the breeze through, with dolman sleeves

This design incorporates the distinctive “mojiri sleeves” found in traditional garments passed down in this region. Soft and relaxed, it suits a wide range of body types. Mojiri sleeves have large armholes and are shaped to allow excellent airflow.
About Sakukkuri >
Soft, lightweight domestic linen
A lightweight fabric made from 100% linen woven in Japan.

Incredibly soft and gentle, it wraps you in comfort. Though lightweight, it has structure and is a refined, high-quality material.
For layering from spring through autumn
Use it as a light outer layer in cooler weather, or to help with air-conditioning in midsummer. Because it’s lightweight, you can take it off and quickly tuck it into your bag, making it easy to carry.

Available in natural and indigo-dyed colors
It comes in two colors: undyed linen in its natural state, and indigo-dyed blue. The natural color is a greige that pairs easily with just about anything, so you can enjoy a wide range of styling options.
Indigo is a deep hand-dyed color made in Itoshiro. The mystery of indigo coming from green leaves.

Can also be worn as a dress with the waist tie
Wear it as a dress with the included belt. It’s sheer, so enjoy styling it with leggings or pants.

*Please note that the fit will vary depending on body type, so use this as a reference.
■Production story
This piece was made based on a garment borrowed from Risako, who is now in her 90s. Its defining feature is the sleeve: a “mojiri sleeve,” made by folding and sewing together a rectangle of fabric.
I still remember the shock I felt when I first saw this sleeve in person. I realized that a triangular sleeve could be made from just one piece of fabric, and that this sleeve has the same structure as sleeves found in Ainu clothing.
Itoshiro is a settlement that has existed since the Jomon period, so there may be some connection. This design was created while thinking about the romance of a long history.
