Online, the straight-cut wide pant 'HakamaLet's make them
(2026.10/1, 8, 15)
( Recruitment starts on 8/1! Application deadline: by 9/24)
This workshop is tailored for the following types of people
This online workshop isnot a course for people who are sewing for the first time.
· You have made clothes using sewing books or through self-taught trial and error
· You follow sewing patterns but sometimes your work doesn't turn out well, and you don't understand why
For people like this,Make clothes while understanding fabric, construction, and tailoringthis is the workshop for you.Join us online from home to create a perfectly fitted Hakama made just for you. You can participate using whichever method you prefer, whether hand-sewing or using a sewing machine.

Hakama are pants made entirely with straight cuts. They have a wide silhouette, making them comfortable to wear and easy to style.
You can also make a straight design by omitting the hem gusset.

For straight-cut construction, we add a gusset at the crotch to increase range of movement.
Let's enjoy making bottoms without wasting fabric, based on Japanese sewing techniques.

【Pre-Workshop Preparation】
Pre-wash your fabric before starting. Submerge it in water, lightly spin it to remove excess moisture, then hang it to dry. Press it with a warm iron using a pressing cloth once it is dry.
* If you prefer to machine wash your fabric for regular care, place it in a laundry bag and wash on a gentle cycle. Press out wrinkles with an iron. Fabric will shrink, but pre-washing before sewing will ensure you don’t have to worry about shrinkage later on.
