This piece was created by adapting an old vest-style garment without sleeves. The differing construction of the right and left shoulders, a design born from the wisdom of our ancestors to avoid wasting fabric, is a noteworthy detail. This time, we extended the length of a sleeveless vest to create a vest dress.

This is a handy piece to wear over a shirt or dress during colder seasons. Its length pairs well with pants. The gentle color makes it easy to coordinate with various outfits.

Made from thick wool, it's perfect for cold winters. The highest quality fabric, woven with fine count yarn, ensures it's non-itchy and gently envelops the skin. It's as soft and gentle as cashmere, making it suitable even for those who typically find wool uncomfortable.

Natural colored sheep

This brown is the natural color of sheep's wool. The fabric was developed using the wool of "Black Merino" sheep, a rare breed with a small population worldwide. The natural color gives it a gentle feel that is easy to pair with anything.

■Production Story

Warm clothing is essential in the cold region of Itoshiro. It was with this in mind that we developed this Black Merino product. Committed to natural, un-dyed colors, we experimented with plant dyeing and other methods to achieve this with wool. However, we then discovered that there are already naturally colored sheep in the world! We fell in love with their adorable colors. Unfortunately, these sheep are rare globally with small populations. We were only able to realize this project because we are a small brand with small lots. We are producing original, high-quality fabric together with a long-established spinning factory in Osaka.
