Production Story

Made using an old garment given to us by Risako-san, born in 1927, as a reference.

The distinctive sleeves are "Mojiri-sode," made by folding and sewing rectangular pieces of fabric.

I still remember the shock of seeing these sleeves in person for the first time. I realized that a single piece of fabric formed a triangular sleeve, and that these sleeves had the same structure as those in Ainu clothing.

Since Itoshiro is a settlement from the Jomon period, there might be a connection. This design was created while pondering the romance of long history.
