Deep indigo,
a distinctive and light linen
long coat
Unique yet suitable for formal occasions
With large, raglan-like sleeves and a generous drape, this garment offers a beautiful silhouette that can be worn for any occasion.

Made based on the traditional jackets passed down in Itoshiro. About the Sakkuri method
High-quality linen fabric woven in Omi
A tightly woven fabric. The quality of the linen is evident in the excellent weaving technique.
Despite being linen, it is not prickly and feels comfortable against the skin.

The beauty of straight-line cutting
We've fully utilized the "straight-line cutting" technique passed down from our ancestors. This allows us to achieve the collar design without wasting any fabric.

One size, unisex
Can be worn by both men and women. The man in the photo is 183cm tall.

Both men and women can wear the same size.
Large sleeves and a generous body width
The sleeve design, often seen in Ainu clothing, is also found in Itoshiro and is called "Mojiri Sleeve" or "Maki Sleeve."

Change the look with a waist belt
Closing the front with the included fabric belt changes the atmosphere. Please try various coordination styles.

Indigo hand-dyed one by one in Itoshiro
During the summer, dyeing is done in the indigo shed next to the store. The fabric is dyed here, and then the coat is tailored.

3 color options
Available in 3 types: natural linen, indigo dye, and chestnut dye.

Also available as a short jacket
We also made a short jacket with a similar structure. Please see this page.

- Model in photos: The female model is 160 cm tall. The male model is 183 cm tall.
- The fit may vary depending on body type, so please use this as a reference.
Production Story
This piece was made using an old garment given to us by Risako, who was born in 1927, as a reference.

The distinctive feature is the "Mojiri Sleeve," which is a rectangular piece folded and sewn together.

I still remember the shock I felt when I first saw this sleeve in person. I realized that a triangular-shaped sleeve could be created from just one piece of fabric, and that this sleeve had the same structure as the sleeves of Ainu clothing.
Since Itoshiro is a settlement that dates back to the Jomon period, there might be some connection. This design was created while pondering the romance of its long history.
