■Production Story

This design is based on a garment borrowed from Risako, who is now in her 90s. Its distinctive feature is the "Mojiri sleeve," which is made by folding and sewing together a rectangle of fabric.

I still remember the impact I felt when I first saw this sleeve in person. I realized that a triangular sleeve shape could be created from just one piece of fabric, and that its structure was the same as the sleeves on Ainu traditional garments.

Ishi-shiro is a village that has existed since the Jomon period, so there might be some connection. This design was created while pondering the romance of a long history.
