Fluffy, Pleasant, Gentle Against the Skin
Brushed Flannel Fabric Recommended for Clothing Making
*This is a fabric sales page for creating clothing.
Softness You’ll Want to Wear Forever
The gentle brushed feel offers the ultimate, reassuringly soft touch against the skin. It’s especially recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Wide Range of Clothing You Can Make
You can use this fabric for all outerwear pieces, including Echizen shirts, Echizen dresses, three-sleeve shirts, and twisted-sleeve haori jackets. It also works beautifully for bottoms like wide-leg pants, hakama, and karusan trousers. Tattsuke styles are not recommended, as they sit at the knees—unless you make them in a larger size.
Domestically Woven Organic Cotton
This is a rare fabric woven domestically in Japan. Crafted with expert techniques, it has an incredibly smooth, soft feel against the skin.

Our Craft Story
Ishizara Tekuhaku Yohinten publishes its own clothing-making techniques publicly. We created this fabric for handmade crafting projects because we, too, received open, generous lessons on clothing making from local residents.
It is said that in the past, it was second nature for everyone to make their own clothing, with every family member wearing garments they had made themselves. People naturally built their own lives with their own hands.
We can’t fully live as our ancestors did, but we want to share the joy of handcrafting and the pride of wearing something you made with as many people as possible. That’s why we host regular workshops and other events.
