Our Creation Story
Ishidoroshi Youhinten shares how we make our own clothing publicly. We developed this fabric specifically for DIY clothing projects because, just like the community members who generously taught us how to make clothes when we were learning.
It once was commonplace for everyone to make their own clothing, with every member of the family wearing garments they’d made themselves. People naturally created their own daily lives with their own two hands.
We can’t fully replicate the lifestyles of our ancestors, but we want to share the joy of making things by hand and wearing garments you’ve made yourself with as many people as possible. That’s why we regularly host workshops and other events.
