Fabric (rescue) + instructions + online Q&A session (7/28)
*Application deadline for online Q&A session: 7/19
*It is also possible to purchase the kit without participating in the online Q&A session.
This thin black linen fabric we "rescued" is very high quality with a beautiful sheen and sheerness.

Using this fabric, let's make "hakama" and use them as inner pants.
They are recommended to wear under dresses or tunics that are sheer in summer. This fabric itself is quite sheer. Also, it is a linen fabric that wrinkles easily. Please be aware of this.

It's breathable, cool, and thin, so it dries quickly. Perfect for midsummer.

After making them, try taking tucks at the hem to narrow the leg openings for easier movement. Please try both methods.

Normal Type worn by a person 155cm tall (length is free; can be made up to 114cm long)
This fabric amount is suitable if your hip measurement is:
・134cm or less for hand-sewing
・138cm or less for machine-sewing
You can adjust the pant length to your preference, up to 114cm. The length of the fabric delivered is 250cm.
Since the fabric is thin, we recommend making the "Normal Type," but if your hip measurement is:
・96cm or less for hand-sewing
・105cm or less for machine-sewing
For petite/slender individuals, please choose the "Slim Type." The Slim Type comes with 170cm of fabric, which is less than the Normal Type, making it more affordable. However, please be extremely careful to choose the correct hip measurement.
Slim Type worn by a person 155cm tall
Please use them as bottoms to pair with dresses and other garments.

If you do not have "How to Make Hakama," please purchase it at the same time.

<Preparation before making>
Preshrink the fabric by soaking it in water, lightly spin-drying it, and hanging it to dry. Then iron it on low heat.
*If you want to wash it in a washing machine, place it in a net and use a gentle cycle. Iron out wrinkles. The fabric will shrink, but preshrinking before sewing will prevent shrinkage from being an issue later on.
*Production will be based on the "How to Make Hakama." The "Instruction Book" is sold separately.
*Can be made by hand-sewing or machine-sewing.
*This fabric is relatively easy to sew with both a machine and by hand.
Rescue Fabric
The fabric included in this kit has been "rescued." Rescued fabric refers to high-quality fabric that would have been discarded due to production reasons, such as not meeting the production lot requirements of major manufacturers.
Limited Quantity
As the rescued fabric is limited in quantity, if you are interested, please purchase it early.
