Soft, durable, and easy to sew
Premium Black Fabric
This organic cotton twill fabric is perfect for Tatsuke.

This is the same fabric we use in our classic "Black Tatsuke".

Despite being sturdy, it's soft and incredibly pleasant against the skin. It can be used year-round.

Ideal for machine sewing. This is a sturdy fabric that can be used for everyday wear or craft projects.

We can create sizes up to our size 4 (approx. height ~180cm, waist ~85cm, hip ~120cm). The fabric is pre-cut to 37-37.5cm wide with serged edges, so you won't waste time cutting it.

Please use our "How to Make Tatsuke" booklet alongside this fabric.

■ Production Story
Ishiro Shoten published patterns for our own pants, and this time we tried creating a kit. The reason for this is that, just like us, we learned how to make Tatsuke from local community members who generously shared their knowledge.
It is said that once upon a time, everyone made Tatsuke as a matter of course, and every member of the family wore them. They naturally built their own livelihoods with their own two hands.
While we can't practice every aspect of our ancestors' way of life, we want to share the joy of handcrafting and the pride of wearing something you made yourself with as many people as possible. That's why we regularly host workshops and other events.
