Material: Japanese Linen

The material used is 100% linen, comfortable for spring and summer.

Sourced from a weaving mill in Shiga Prefecture, an ancient flax-producing region, which has adapted its weaving techniques to modern times. The fabric is meticulously crafted with high skill. It has a crisp feel but softens beautifully with each use, making it a truly high-quality linen.
Its smooth and refreshing texture, combined with excellent breathability, ensures comfort even in warm weather.

Summer Staple: Indigo-Dyed Clothing

Indigo, a traditional Japanese color. We make sukumo (fermented indigo compost) from indigo leaves grown in our fields, and then dye with it.

We prepare the indigo vats and perform indigo dyeing during the summer months.

Indigo dyeing is labor-intensive, but it produces a deep and captivating color. It becomes more familiar with each use. This particular color is achieved by repeatedly dyeing with light indigo.

Silhouette and Size

The Echizen Blouse is designed with a relaxed body width and a shorter length, balancing well with both skirts and pants.
The shoulder area is not restrictive, allowing for light and easy daily movements.

Care Instructions

• Turn inside out, place in a net, and machine wash on a delicate cycle with neutral detergent.
• Hang dry in the shade while still inside out.
• Botanical dyes are sensitive to light, so store in a dark place.
• Iron from the inside out at a medium to low temperature.
• To completely remove linen wrinkles, iron when semi-dry for a neat finish.
• We also offer repair and re-dyeing services. However, cherry blossom dyeing is only possible in years with heavy snow, so the re-dyeing period is flexible. Re-dyeing with indigo is possible over other colors [only in summer: May-August].
