I created a collection of oral history records by transcribing and editing the stories I heard from elderly people in their 70s and 80s living in the Itoshiro area.
This book contains eight old stories about the region and life in the past.
Recommended for those who want to know stories from the past and those who want to know more about Itoshiro.

■ Production Story
This book is not a collection of stories written by the Itoshiro Clothing Store owner, Hirano, but rather a collection of oral history collected in the local area as a personal activity compiled by the Itoshiro Community Center.
Recording by oral communication is a technique in which you listen to the stories of local elderly people, transcribe them, edit them, and present them in a way that sounds as if they are speaking the words of the people themselves.
It gives us a clear insight into how the elders of Itoshiro felt as they lived here, and it has given us many hints as we live here.
This is a fascinating collection of oral histories, with many stories that will make you smile or even shed a tear.
