I created a collection of oral history records by transcribing and editing the stories I heard from elderly people in their 70s and 80s living in the Itoshiro area.
It contains 11 old stories about the region and life in the past, as well as a collection of old photographs.
Recommended for those who want to know stories from the past and those who want to know more about Itoshiro.

■ Production Story
This book is not a collection of stories written by the Itoshiro Clothing Store owner, Hirano, but rather a collection of oral history collected in the local area as a personal activity compiled by the Itoshiro Community Center.
Recording by oral communication is a method of listening to the stories of local elderly people, transcribing them, editing them, and presenting them in a way that is as if they were speaking the words of the people themselves.
It gives us a clear insight into how the elders of Itoshiro felt as they lived here, and it has given us many hints as we live here.
This is a fascinating collection of oral histories, with many stories that will make you smile or even shed a tear.
