Made based on an upper garment handed down in Itoshiro.About Sakkuri
Made with rescued wool
“Could a fabric this wonderful really be lying dormant...?” That’s what we often think when we rescue fabric. This one, too, felt like something we wanted to bring out into the world and let someone see.

The overall impression is dark navy, but it is a very intricately crafted herringbone fabric in two colors, brown and navy.

One size, unisex
It can be worn by both men and women in the same size.
Stay stylish through the cold season
It will be a reliable piece during the cold months from winter through midwinter. You can also fasten the front securely with the included belt.

Please enjoy the genuine texture and warmth of wool.

■ Production Story
We created this piece based on a garment borrowed from Risako, who is now in her 90s. Its defining feature is the sleeve, called a “Mojiri sleeve,” made by folding and stitching a rectangle.

I still remember the shock I felt when I first saw these sleeves in person. I realized that a single piece could create a triangular sleeve shape, and that this sleeve has the same structure as the sleeves of Ainu clothing.
Itoshiro is a settlement that has existed since the Jomon period, so there may be some connection. This design was created while imagining the romance of a long history.
