The Echizen shirt, originally a work garment for men, has been adapted into a stylish dress.

Generous width and comfortable fit

The width of the garment is generous, so it is comfortable to wear and does not feel cramped at all. It is a piece that can be worn without hesitation even by those with thick shoulders, chest, or hips.

In addition, the shoulder position is not fixed and there are small triangular gussets at the sides, allowing the arms to move freely and easily.

The slit is deep, so even though it is maxi length, the design allows for easy movement and ease of movement.

Can be worn as a dress or as a cover-up

It can be worn as a one-piece dress, so it is easy to style when going out or going to work. Use the attached waist belt to tighten it at your desired position for a more formal look.

Gentle colors of plant dyes

The colors available are indigo, marigold yellow, khaki, moss green, and akaso orange.

The indigo blue is dyed repeatedly to achieve a deep color. The khaki and moss green are chic colors that can be achieved by combining marigold flowers with iron. The yellow is a different color created from anemone and marigold.
The orange in this design is dyed with dye from a plant called Akaso, whose stems turn red in the summer.

Soft Orange

Akaso is an annual plant that grows in cool rocky areas and water areas. If you dye it in midsummer when it is exposed to plenty of sunlight and its stems turn red, it will be a strong red color, but in other seasons it will be yellow. I dyed it when the Akaso turned this color.

■How to care for the product

• Turn the garment inside out and place it in a large laundry bag.
• Leave enough space in the washing machine and wash on a gentle cycle.
• Use a mild detergent, or if the item is not too dirty, just water will suffice.
• After washing, carefully spread it out and dry it in the shade inside out.
• Indigo dyes and plant dyes are sensitive to light, so when storing them, store them in a dark closet or drawer to prevent the colors from fading.
• It's a good idea to use insect repellent when switching between seasons.

• If the color has faded, we will re-dye it. We can also dye it with indigo instead of plant dye. Please contact us for more information.
