Easy to use large scarf
A linen stole dyed with adzuki beans. It is sheer, soft and fluffy. Perfect for cooling, blocking out the sun, and adding a stylish touch to your neck. It features a gentle pink beige color.
■ Production Story
This is a shawl made from single-layer linen gauze that the owner, Hirano, had dyed and left to rest in 2014. He dyed it slowly and carefully while carrying his second son on his back, back when he was still running the shop almost by himself.
The azuki bean dye liquid is shared with people in the village who make Japanese sweets. We receive it on the day when we boil a lot of azuki beans, so we think of each dyeing as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It smells good when it's boiling. The color is also warm, so it's pleasant to dye with.
