Easy-to-move kids' tsuke

Children are always playing in different ways. Running around, squatting, jumping around... We created "TATSUKE", a pair of easy-to-move pants, perfect for children.

Chic or casual

It is made from old kimono fabric, and has a high-quality feel. The navy color makes it suitable for formal occasions. Of course, it is also recommended for everyday use as it is an easy-to-match color.

Suitable for a wide range of ages

The models are boys ages 2 to 7. In the photo, they are wearing the same size of tatsuke pants. Tatsuke pants are loose around the waist, so they can be worn by children of any age. Children's clothes tend to grow out of them quickly, but I'm glad that these pants can be worn for a long time.

■ Production Story

I started making children's tatami because, while making adult tatami and hakama, I had some square scraps, and when I put them together, I had the idea that I could make something for children!

Most of the clothes we make are cut in straight lines, so there is no wasted fabric. Even if there is any, it is only rectangular. Apparently people in the past would carefully save these pieces and patch them together to make larger pieces of fabric to make futon covers and other items. From these stories from my grandmothers, I have learned the important lesson of not wasting even the smallest bit of fabric.
