This is a kit for hand sewing an Echizen shirt.
For those who have a set of sewing tools at home, we have put together a kit containing all the materials needed to make an Echizen shirt.
Please use this in conjunction with "How to make an Echizen shirt."

- Linen fabric: Fabric width is approximately 110cm, 1.7m long, can be produced in sizes 1 to 3.
It is made from the same 100% linen material as our Echizen shirts, and is a thin material that is easy to sew by hand or for beginners.
・Hand sewing thread: Daruma household thread, 100% cotton, white, thick (#20), 100m
・Buttons: 12mm x 8 pieces (Japanese shell buttons)
It can be made without a buttonhole machine.
Although it has more parts and takes more time than "Tatsuke", Echizen shirts are also made almost entirely of straight cuts. It's very interesting to assemble a shirt like a puzzle. Please try making one at home.
*It is possible to sew everything by hand, but the edges will need to be finished with a folded hem stitch, which requires skill and time. A serger or zigzag sewing machine is convenient for finishing the edges of the fabric.
* Making an Echizen shirt is more difficult than making a tataki or hakama, and requires patience. This is a hand-sewn kit, but you can also sew it with a sewing machine. Enjoy making clothes within your limits. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
*The detailed photo shows the garment dyed in pink. We recommend dyeing it again if it gets dirty to extend the life of the garment!
