We held a Tatsuke Workshop and a Certification Workshop.

Two workshops were held in September and October.

This is a three-day, two-night workshop to create a Tatsuke, and a certification course to train those who want to become Tatsuke instructors.

We learned a lot over the course of three days, but everyone had a very fulfilling time and made great memories!

Everyone is very serious about the course to become a certified instructor.

However, we are not just making things, we are also preparing many opportunities to learn about the history and culture of Itoshiro.

A visit to the antique museum, known only to those in the know.

There is plenty to do, including talking to a local grandfather who keeps old linen textiles and work clothes.

And with some hard work, everyone (almost) completed the tatsuke!

Everyone looked so happy and had such bright expressions on their faces. I'm so happy too.

We hope that this will not only be an opportunity to create Tatsuke in Itoshiro, but also to learn about its background, and get to know the area better.

We are planning to hold our first Echizen shirt workshop in November. It will be cold as winter approaches, but let's have fun stitching while sitting under a kotatsu!
