Me & My Itoshiro Yohinten Vol.7 -Kamakura Miki-san- Petit Paris

We will be asking customers who regularly purchase clothes from Ishiteshiro Clothing Store to tell us about their favorite items and their own activities.
Name: Kamakura Miki
My favorite item: Black Merino sweater (gray, men's size)
Length of use: 2 months
Height: 162cm

---Please introduce yourself and tell us about your job and activities:

I run a small baked goods shop in Gujo Hachiman, where I was born and raised. Originally, I mainly participated in events, but by chance I opened a brick-and-mortar store in 2020.

---Please tell us about your favorite items. When, where and where do you usually wear them?

This is a black merino sweater that I tried on at the Fall/Winter exhibition last year and fell in love with at first sight. The loose fit (men's size) and the perfect match with the apron I always wear when serving customers are great◎. In addition, it's light and easy to move in, and even with the apron on, the area around my neck is neat! And above all, I think it's warm!
[Men's sweater] Black merino / 3 colors available

---How did you find out about Ishiteshiro Clothing Store?

Being from Gujo, I knew about the place Itoshiro and the name Itoshiro Clothing Store, but it was at an exhibition held at a cafe in the same city that I actually got to see the products in person. At the first exhibition I attended, I learned that work clothes called "tatsuke" and "hakama" were worn in Itoshiro long ago, and since then I have been going to the exhibition held at the cafe once a year.

--- A message to Ishiteshiro Clothing Store:

The women working in Gujo, including at Itoshiro Clothing Store, are truly powerful! They are always coming up with new ideas, putting them into practice, and creating jobs in the local area, which I believe will help preserve the small village of Itoshiro for future generations. I support these efforts from within Gujo!

Miki Kamakura (Owner of Petit Paris)

I think that having many customers enjoy sweets made with ingredients produced in Gujo is my own way of contributing to the local community!

Is it fate in a way that I was able to open a store in 2020, a year of such drastic change in the world?
No matter what the situation is in the future, I want to continue making sweets in my beloved Gujo.

We are open on irregular business days and will announce them on Instagram.
