Exhibition at Hayama Furuka 1681
The exhibition at Furuya 1681 in Hayama was successfully completed.
Thank you so much to everyone who came, everyone who cared about us, and to Yamada Nami, Yasu-san, Daichi-kun, and all our friends in the community who welcomed us.
Traveling from the mountains to the seaside country, I experienced a very pleasant breeze.
I was able to look out at the horizon, which connects to a vast world unlike the deep mountains where we live, and I felt a sense of calm and openness in my mind.
The people I met all loved Hayama and lived there, cherishing their connections. They also had a strong environmental awareness, so there was a lot I could learn from them.
I hope I can continue to visit this wonderful place in the future.
Although it was only a short two days, the conversation with Yamada Nami was very insightful and the stories of the people I met were very interesting, so the time I spent there felt very long.
Nami's everyday involvement with fermented food is similar to my own involvement with indigo dyeing, and I could relate to a lot of what she said.
I truly feel the importance of learning the wisdom built up by our ancestors and applying it to our current lives.
Even though I lead a hectic life, I still want to learn more about food, so I have already begun reading Nami's book.
Thank you very much for a wonderful time.
