This year's indigo dyeing was completed without incident.

This year's indigo dyeing project is being carried out by indigo dyeing craftsman Namiho, who is recruiting helpers (indigo cooperation team)! More people than we expected came to Itoshiro, and we feel the high level of interest in indigo dyeing.
This year, I am experimenting with various types of "sukumo" (fermented indigo leaves, a material used in indigo dyeing). I think each jar will have a different "character."
Indigo dyeing differs from other plant dyes in that it is dyed using the fermentation process of microorganisms, and the changes that occur are fascinating and profound.
The dyeing process is just about to begin, but I'm already excited.
This year, we are preparing two opportunities for everyone to experience indigo dyeing: an " Indigo Classroom " where you will learn how to dye indigo three times in a row, and an " Indigo Dyeing Workshop " where you can dye in a one-off session. If you are interested, please come and join us.
Also, for those who would like to experience a deeper and more consistent approach to indigo dyeing, such as preparing indigo and cultivating it, indigo dye artisan Namiho is recruiting " indigo volunteers " through her note.
This is a must-see for anyone who wants to try indigo dyeing in the future. Don't miss this opportunity.
Now that the dyeing has started, it feels like spring has really arrived. Indigo dyeing requires a certain degree of temperature, so it is a summer job. I spent the winter doing little things like sewing, but in the summer I want to work in the fields, dye, and get active outside, and devote myself to making clothes every day.
It's now a pleasant season, so please come and visit Itoshiro.
