We have started accepting applications for the Winter Tatsuke Workshop.

We will be holding a tatsuke workshop in Itoshiro again this winter.

Every year we hold workshops where people can experience winter life in the snow, and although it is a cold time of year, we hope that you will be able to experience Itoshiro in a way that can only be felt now.

This time, we will be holding two types of workshops: the usual general workshop from February 18th to 20th, and an Instructor Certification Course from March 4th to 6th for those who wish to become instructors for the TATSUKE Workshop.

Both events last for three days and two nights, but the general public workshop will focus on hand sewing and allow participants to experience the joy of handicrafts while completing a single piece of tatami mat.

The instructor certification course also lasts for three days and two nights, but it is based on using a sewing machine and involves going through more specific items one by one, ultimately sharing questions that will come up when you are in a position to teach.

Both workshops are packed with activities that will be fulfilling, including a visit to the winter shrine in Itoshiro and interaction with local people.

Since it's winter, it's a time when not many people visit, but I think this will be a good time to experience Itoshiro on a deeper level.

I can't say that this will appeal to many people, but I highly recommend it to those who want to spend a deep and meaningful time in Itoshiro. I look forward to your participation.
