I decided to exhibit due to my connection with the curator, but I strongly identify with the concept of DIALOGUE , which is as follows:
We too hope to receive what has been passed down to us in previous generations and pass it on to the next generation.
From ABOUT
"Crafts have been passed down from generation to generation as tools that support people's lives and culture. The techniques of craftsmen are not just there to be preserved, but they are constantly incorporating various elements from around the world to create art and industry that transcends fields.
At a time when it has become inevitable for society to learn about and take action regarding the global environment and diversity, DIALOGUE places great importance on conveying (and communicating) the "words" of creators with diverse backgrounds who create products in harmony with the local community and nature.
Crafts and handicrafts have the wisdom to find materials in nature, create tools, and continue to use them for a long time. Today, we can see the birth of new forms of craftsmanship, such as projects that create a richer relationship between the natural environment and industry, and movements that enable people with disabilities to shine in society by utilizing their diverse skills through social welfare facilities.
With our sights set on the craftsmanship that we want to continue into the next 100 years, we will work with the creators to create a new space for interaction born from dialogue.
