Tatsuke, Karusan, Hakama Wearing Review by Body Type

The three types of pants that represent Ishiteshiro Clothing Store are "Tatsuke," "Karusan," and "Hakama."
Three staff members with different body types will try on the item to explain the size.

First, the difference in shape

First, check the difference in shape.

The waist is slim and the hakama is wide. Karu-san's silhouette is somewhere in between.

Three staff members wore

Please choose a height that is close to your height and look at photos of staff wearing the item.

Tatsutake (size 1, size 2)

"For my height, size 1 is just the right length. The waist is elastic and has a drawstring on the inside, so either size is fine. The pants are slim-fitting, so if you want more room in your thighs and calves, I recommend choosing size 2 and rolling up or shortening the hem."

Karusan (size 1)

"These are loose from the waist to above the knees and have a slightly slimmer silhouette towards the hem. For someone my height, size 1 would be perfect."

Hakama (free size)

"The length is just right even for short people and they can be worn without hemming. The high rise and high waist make your legs look longer, and it's easy to balance whether you tuck in your top or leave it out, so you can wear them casually or elegantly."

Tatsutake (size 1, size 2)

"My preference is to choose size 1, which is just the right size and allows for good movement of the legs. However, I also think it would be cute to choose size 2 to give a little more room around the legs, pair it with heels, or roll up the pants. I recommend trying on about two sizes larger than your size to see how they feel."

Karusan (size1, size2)

"I like the length and silhouette of size 1. For Karu-san, the rise is deep, so she feels secure around the waist, and the crotch gusset fits nicely, so the line of her buttocks is neat."

Hakama (free size)

"The lines are beautiful, so if you want to look cool, I recommend the hakama. It has a deep rise and a high waist, so it makes your legs look longer. The length is just right, and it goes well with the dark colored tops I have, so it's very useful."

Tatsutake (size 2, size 3)

"For my height, size 2 is just the right length, but I want a little more room around my thighs and calves, so I wear size 3 with the hems shortened. I think you can also wear them without hemming, rolled up. If you want a slim silhouette that is characteristic of TATSUKE, I recommend size 2."

Karusan (size2, size3)

"Size 2 is just the right size. There is some room around the thighs, so even if it is just the right size, it is comfortable to wear without feeling tight. If you want to wear it oversized and loose, or if you have long legs, I recommend size 3."

Hakama (free size)

"The hem comes a little above the ankle, so they're like 9/10 length pants. The waist is a little tight, so if you want more room in the waist, I recommend other pants."
