In this "Customer Interview" segment, we ask customers who regularly wear clothes from Ishiteshiro Clothing Store to introduce their favorite items and their own activities. This time, we interviewed Kazuyuki Matsuo, a planner based in Tokyo.

──Please introduce yourself and tell us about your work and activities.

From "mass brands" to "small brands," I work on planning communications and actions that will allow each brand to be "true to itself."
He is searching for ways to communicate and take action based on the question, "How can I live my life 'like' myself?" In recent years, he has been traveling between the city and the countryside, playing in the fields and working to pass on traditional foods and seeds to his sons' generation.

──How did you find out about Ishiteshiro Clothing Store?

It all started when I met Mr. Hirano while searching for a way to live life that was true to myself. I feel that the brand, Itoshiro Clothing Store, which lives in the land of Gujo/Itoshiro and makes use of the natural blessings and wisdom of the land, truly reflects the lifestyle and values ​​of Mr. and Mrs. Hirano. After learning about the position of the "store" called Itoshiro Clothing Store, I went to an actual exhibition to touch the items and find my "favorite," and this is how my connection deepened.


──Please tell us about your favorite items. When, where, and where do you usually wear them?

My favorite is the Echizen shirt, which I fell in love with at first sight when I bought it at an exhibition. I usually like to wear navy and blue colors, but this indigo blue color is something I don't have in my closet, so I bought it because it's a color I can't describe.
I feel that the color and texture of this material calms me, so I wear it as a lucky item that helps me feel like myself in important work situations (such as workshops/events where I have to speak in front of a large group of people).
At a recent exhibition, I also bought a shirt of the same style in a lighter color, so I'd like to combine this with the other items and wear them on important occasions.

──Please give us a message for Ishiteshiro Clothing Store!

It started with the two Hiranos and their friends, and their way of life is reflected in "Itoshiro Clothing Store." Every time I wear it, I feel that it is made with the blessings of nature, and I take good care of it and wear it with care.
I think the world would be a more interesting place if there were more small brands like Ishiteshiro Clothing Store that are rooted in the "passion" and "hands" of individuals, or personal brands. Please continue to make wonderful clothes. We're rooting for you!
