9/4, 11 Marigold plant dyeing workshop
Nippon Tenaraido will be hosting an online class on plant dyeing in the fall. The mugwort dyeing class has been very well received, but this time, you can try your hand at "marigold dyeing" at the workshop.
Marigolds are dyed a very vivid and beautiful yellow, but what's interesting is that the atmosphere changes drastically depending on the mordanting method. In order to let you experience the depth of this, we will have two consecutive courses, one with alum mordanting and one with iron mordanting. We look forward to your participation!

*This is a two-part workshop. The first will teach you how to use alum mordanting, and the second will teach you how to use iron mordanting as an application. You can also participate in just the first session.
