May to August Indigo Class (series)

The indigo season at Itoshiro Clothing Store will begin in April and last for six months. After the long winter, when the weather turns to warm spring, the indigo preparation begins in the workshop.
This year, Ishiteshiro Clothing Store will be holding a class focusing on indigo dyeing, taught by Takaoka Namiho, who is in charge of indigo dyeing.

The course is made up of three sessions over six months, starting with a basic knowledge of indigo and then moving on to dyeing tenugui and handkerchiefs with various patterns.

Over the course of three classes, you will learn in-depth about indigo and various dyeing techniques that cannot be fully conveyed in regular workshops.
We look forward to your participation if you would like to learn more in-depth than in a one-day workshop, if you would like to try patterns in addition to solid dyeing, or if you would like to take up indigo as a hobby.
